Nigeria’s Private Guards
NSCDC Academy Study Centre is the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps’ platform for training, certifying and verifying private security personnel. Companies enrol their guards, trainees learn through live classes and supervised exams, and officers in the field can confirm a guard’s credentials with a single scan.

Training Courses
Common Questions About Training and Certification
You can register as an individual without a company. Enter your name, phone and email address on the Register page, confirm the one-time code we email you, create a password and complete the onboarding form.
No. Individuals can register and train on their own. Once certified you can show your ID card to any employer, and a company can also enrol its guards in bulk.
An NSCDC administrator reviews your profile and documents. Once approved, the right course is assigned to you automatically and you can pay the enrolment fee online.
Every live class is recorded. Watch the recording in full and you can earn make-up credit once you have viewed at least 90% of it. Skipping ahead is not possible.
The assessment is taken online with your camera on. You need 80% to pass. If you do not, you may retake it up to 2 times, with a 7-day wait between attempts.
After you pass, your certificate is issued and sent to your State Command for collection. It is valid for 2 years. You can then order an ID card with a QR code for verification.
Enforcement officers sign in and scan the QR code on the ID card. The result shows at once whether the card is valid, expired, replaced or revoked.
